How to truncate line on mail app?

Hi all!
There is some way to auto truncate lines to a limit number of characters when I'm sending emails from the main mail app on N900?
I write on a lot of mailing lists and I know that for some clients it's a problem to read more than 72-80 characters, and it's not so comfortable to truncate manually lines every time...

I guess not, because there is an open bug requesting this feature:
