Maemo autobuilder/package interface
Hi all,

As many of you know Maemo autobuilder and package interface were not fully functional for more than half an year.

I am officially announcing those are back in full service. Please those of you who have packages stuck in extras-devel because promotion was not working, to promote them now. The same goes for those packages that are stuck in extras-testing - promotion to extras should be fine
too.

So far I fixed and did test fremantle autobuilder only, I suspect package promotion is still
semi-broken for the older distributions. If anyone still has problems with promotion, please
inform me - by either sending an email or on #maemo, I will fix it ASAP.

Please, all of you who were using extras-devel as a replacement to extras, disable extras-devel
and extras-testing repositories. Now our packages infra is(or at least looks like) functional,
we should revert to the way all this is supposed to work. Testers/users - please do your job
and vote for the packages in testing. Developers - promote the stuff to extras.

Many, many thanks for the great support I had/have (as autobuilder maintainer) from the other
members of the Maemo crew in the course of fixing all the broken bits.

Regards,
Ivo (freemangordon@TMO)

Well done, Ivo. I don't have any packages waiting but I appreciate the
amount of work this has taken. Thanks very much for your effort.

Hi all,

I am glad to say that freemangordon have fixed Maemo autobuilder &
Extras Assistant for Maemo 4. The packages appear in Maemo Packages
interface, are promoted, etc.

Thanks freemangordon and all Maemo admin.

Best regards,

Roberto Colistete Jr.

Something seems to be wrong with it, I haven't been able to upload any
packages for building, I always get this error:

"File upload error. (tar file) Please try to upload your packages
again!"

There is nothing wrong with the tar file, straight what
dpkg-buildpackage produces.

Also CSS styling seems to be missing at the moment.

Did you try to upload your package using Extras assistant - https://garage.maemo.org/extras-assistant/index.php ?

AFAIK CSS styling is only missing if you're not logged in.

Or if you are using a newer Firefox, which by default enables "mixed
content" protection, i.e. turns off http:// resources on https://
pages.

Cf. https://wiki.maemo.org/ , which loads the CSS from
http://static.m.o

Cheers,
gregor

Yes, that must be it, as I'm using the latest version of Firefox.
