After the official release of the Internet Tablet OS 2006 edition last
week, the final maemo 2.0 release is also now available.
Some highlights of this release in addition to what was introduced in
mistral-beta include:
* The maemo coding style and programming guidelines
* Gazpacho UI builder and some documentation on how to try it
out
* Real Time Communications libraries
* Maemo Desktop plugin tutorial
* Python APIs for Hildon and LibOSSO
A good place to get started is either
http://maemo.org/downloads/releases.html or of course
http://repository.maemo.org/stable/mistral/. If you find bugs and issues
with maemo 2.0, just file them to https://maemo.org/bugzilla/ and we
will try to do our best to fix them. Thanks in advance!
A big thanks also to everyone who made maemo 2.0 possible and now let's
all enjoy the summer and get some real hacking on maemo done.
