I fixed the Makefile problem.
I also added more error checking to the resource takeover code.
I also fixed a very longstanding bug in the serial code where characters would
get dropped because I had failed to turn on RTSCTS on the port (this is a
candiated for the oldest bug around at this point).
Please give it YET ANOTHER shot.
Thanks to everyone who has continued to patiently submit bug reports.
It now works on a machine where it had failed before.
It's FixedForSure(tm) this time.
