At the moment, /proc/ha causes heartbeat to fail completely on newer kernels.
Until we get this fixed, please make sure you aren't using it before your report
problems.
Sometimes, it seems to cause problems even after it is unloaded, presumably due
to caching of inodes and directory entries, etc. A reboot will cure this
behavior.
