I want to see TV with Buffalo PC-MV5L/PCI card in Japan.
I use ubuntu 9.04, Linux2.6.28-14-generic.
I use ivtv ver1.2.0-1
please advice me.

I heard I need to watch TV three firmware$B!!(Bin Japanese blog.
firmware name is "xc3028-v27.fw", "v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw" , "v4l-cx25840.fw".
I installed it as follows.

-xc3028-v27.fw

# cd Driver85
# perl /usr/share/doc/kernel-doc-2.6.26/Documentation/video4linux/extract_xc3028.pl
# sudo cp xc3028-v27.fw /lib/firmware
-v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw
# sudo cp hcw85enc.rom /lib/firmware/v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw
-v4l-cx25840.fw
# sudo cp hcw85mlC.rom /lib/firmware/v4l-cx25840.fw

I described it in ivtv.conf as follows.
***/etc/modprobe.d/ivtv.conf
alias video0 ivtv
alias char-major-81 videodev
alias char-major-81-0 ivtv
options ivtv cardtype=20
blacklist ivtv

and I set the channel.
# sudo /sbin/modprobe ivtv
# sudo ivtv-tune -t japan-bcast -c 1
/dev/video0: 91.250 MHz
# cat /dev/video0 | xine stdin://mpeg2

I can't watch TV with with Buffalo PC-MV5L/PCI card in Japan.
What should I do to see the television?
please teach me.
