Code for cx18 with support of GoTView PCI DVD3 tuner
Hello,

I recently added support of GoTView PCI DVD3 tuner to cx18 driver code. Is it
possible to merge it to the main code? What is my further steps could be?

Thank you,
Alexey

Please e-mail a patch to the Linux Media mailing list for review:

linux-media@vger.kernel.org

http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Development:_How_to_submit_patches
http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Development:_Submitting_Patches

be sure to include your "Signed-off-by:" as described in the links
above.

Please be sure your patch applies and compiles against the media tree's
staging/2.6.37-rc1 branch:

http://git.linuxtv.org/media_tree.git
http://git.linuxtv.org/media_tree.git?a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/staging/for_v2.6.37-rc1

Be aware, that due to the Kernel Summit 2010 and Linux Plumbers
Conference, your changes likely will not be merged until at least 8 Nov
at the earliest.

BTW, For comparison, I had a preliminary patch for the GoTView PCI DVD 3
here:

http://linuxtv.org/hg/~awalls/new-cards/rev/4c4fc0cd8e7e

but it has not been tested at all, and I have no idea if it will
actually work. ;)

A working patch is appreciated. :)

Regards,
Andy

Thank you very much, Andy. Very important information for me. I'll try to make
patch against the branch you mentioned and send it for review as soon as
possible.

Also thanks for the preliminary patch, I didn't compare it to mine line by
line but somewhere they seem to be quite near. I hope my work will help as
there were some tech info which Gotview support provided.
