Hi!
Excuse for my bad English.
At me a problem with tv-tuner ( GotView dvd3 Hybrid )

I have viewed archive of mailing and have found one message with the same problem
(http://ivtvdriver.org/pipermail/ivtv-devel/2010-April/006519.html),
but haven't found the answer to it.
Prompt, whether there was a decision of this problem?

Best regards.

Hmm. I misssed that post.

I'll make a card entry for it in the cx18 driver.

When I am done with the patch, I will need you to test the patch and
figure out which GPIO pin resets the XC3028 tuner chip.

Exactly which tuner chip does the card have: XC3028 or XC3028L ?

Regards,
Andy

Konstantin and i-mak,

I have a patch for you to test here:

http://linuxtv.org/hg/~awalls/new-cards/raw-rev/4c4fc0cd8e7e

You will need to extract firmware from a Windows driver for the XC3028
tuner chip. Here are the instructions:

http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Xceive_XC3028/XC2028#Firmware_Information

Here is the script to extrcat the firmware:

http://linuxtv.org/hg/v4l-dvb/raw-file/1da5fed5c8b2/linux/Documentation/video4linux/extract_xc3028.pl

I guessed at many parameters. No TV from the RF will work reliably
until you guess the GPIO pin to reset the XC3028 tuner chip. I guessed:

http://linuxtv.org/hg/~awalls/new-cards/rev/4c4fc0cd8e7e#l1.62

but it could be wrong.

I also guessed at how the memeory timing should be configured, the
analog audio GPIO settings, which I2C bus controls the DVB-T
demodulator, and how the DVB-T demodulation should be configured:

http://linuxtv.org/hg/~awalls/new-cards/rev/4c4fc0cd8e7e#l1.44
http://linuxtv.org/hg/~awalls/new-cards/rev/4c4fc0cd8e7e#l1.54
http://linuxtv.org/hg/~awalls/new-cards/rev/4c4fc0cd8e7e#l4.10
http://linuxtv.org/hg/~awalls/new-cards/rev/4c4fc0cd8e7e#l4.26
http://linuxtv.org/hg/~awalls/new-cards/rev/4c4fc0cd8e7e#l4.34

>From what I could read on the internet, the configuration of the GoTView
PCI DVD 3 Hybrid appeared to be very similar to the Yuan MPC718 and
PG-718.

Hopefully the patch works for at least Composite or S-Video in.

Regards,
Andy
