One path to have Umlauts displayed wrong in pinentry is:
in kgpgcertmanager: Export PKCS12
Select a secret key with Umlauts in the DN.
The pinentry dialog for the passphrase
shows then the DN Umlauts very strangely.
When asked for the passphrase for signing, the
DN is displayed correctly.
The problem might be in the KDE part as well,
so that clearification should be paid attention first.
BTW: Very difficult to make a screenshot of this. pinentry
blocks all other interaction.
