which 802.11g card to buy
Hi,

i've got a simply question:
which 802.11g PCMCIA-card should i buy?

The problem is, the most of the chipsets don't seem to be supported that
well. Which card/chipset is working best for you guys?

Card with poor Linux-Support i know of:
- D-Link DWL-G650 Rev B, Atheros Chipset, madwifi-drivers are in portage
but not working for me
- Asus WL-107g, RT2500 Chipset, Manufacture RaLink does supply Linux
drivers, ebuild in bugzilla

Reading prism64.org, kernerl 2.6.9 should have support for cards based
on the prism chipset. But well, which cards use the prism chipset?

Thx
Sven

Just to answer myself:
http://prism54.org/supported_cards.php

I'd still like to know, which cards you have, and how good/bad they work
for you.

The Netgear WG511 which is a Prism54 chipset works well as long as it was not
made in China. I had one and could not get it to work. I ended up buying
one that was made in Taiwan and it worked fine out of the box.
