I downloaded the driver from nvidia and now it's solved....
Gentoo emerge driver appearantly not good enough for quadro series.

Gnome is working...but still troubles with nvidia.
I installed nvidia-kernel with emerge and added nvidia to
modules.autoload so that nvidia module will start when gentoo boots.
I did of course a modules-update
When gentoo boots, nvidia is not starting but i get a fault that it
can't be loaded.
When i perform a modprobe nvidia i get:
FATAL: Error inserting nvidia (/lib/modules/2.6.7-gentoo-r11/nvidia.ko):
Invalid module format
The nvidia card is a nvidia quadro pci-e series
Anybody any idea why this is not working ?
