Newbye fails installing R-2.0.0

I'm trying to compile and install the statiscal package R-2.0.0 which is
both in portage tree and in the package database (even though the default
R package is the very old R-1.8.1).

Issuing

# emerge R-2.0.0
Calculating dependencies
!!! Problem in dev-lang/R-2.0.0 dependencies.
!!! "Specific key requires an operator (dev-lang/R-2.0.0) (try adding an
'=')"
#

I can't understand what I shall do! Please help
