Hi!
Today, I installed glibc-2.3.4.20041006. After that, I tried to
change something in the kernel configuration and thus tried to run
make xconfig. This failed:
HOSTLD scripts/kconfig/qconf
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.4/../../../../i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: warning: libstdc++.so.6, needed by /usr/qt/3/lib/./libqt-mt.so, may
conflict with libstdc++.so.5
/usr/qt/3/lib/./libqt-mt.so: undefined reference to `__pthread_register_cancel@GLIBC_2.3.3'
/usr/qt/3/lib/./libqt-mt.so: undefined reference to `__pthread_unregister_cancel@GLIBC_2.3.3'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [scripts/kconfig/qconf] Error 1
make[1]: *** [xconfig] Error 2
make: *** [xconfig] Error 2
This made me think - do I need to re-emerge world after the update
of the glibc?
