make mrproper

Nvidia-kernel-1.0.6111 won't build and returns an error:

echo " /usr/src/linux-2.6.5-gentoo-r1 is not clean, please run 'make
mrproper'";\

So, I've copied /usr.src.linux/.config to /usr.src.linux/.config.save and am
about to do:

make mrproper

will I need to recompile or should I be OK?

I think you need to do the make && make modules_install procedure. The
make mrproper just cleans out some stuff IIRC.

You're welcome. Somewhere in my notes I have the effects of each of the
make stuff but I can't find it right now.
