emerge nvidia-kernel fails
What am I doing wrong here? do I need to rebuild my kernel? I'm still running
XFree here and X is running.

My first thought is this: is your /usr/src/linux correct?

I never heard of this on a 2.6 kernel, but you could copy your .config
somewhere save and then do make mrproper.

Yeah, So I figured. 1 question though, after running:

# make mrproper

Will I need to recompile? (after restoring the .config, of course) Or, should
I be good to go?

You need to setup your kernel for KOUTPUT with config-kernel utility. Just do
config-kernel --help
and set correct output directory.

Hi,
Firstly just check b.g.o for a bugs, as a week ago here (ML) were
reports (confirmed by a dev) that it's partly broken (koutput), not
always working etc.
