Advice re: DEPEND/*DEPEND problem

$ sudo emerge -up world

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating world dependencies /
!!! all ebuilds that could satisfy ">=x11-base/opengl-update-1.8.1" have been
masked.
!!! possible candidates are:
!!! (dependency required by "media-video/nvidia-glx-1.0.6111" [ebuild])

!!! Problem with ebuild x11-misc/xscreensaver-4.16
!!! Possibly a DEPEND/*DEPEND problem.

!!! Depgraph creation failed.

It would seem that xscreensaver is the culprit here. Should I add
=x11-misc/xscreensaver-4.16 to package.mask? or am I completely off base?

Interestingly, nvidia-kernel-1.0.6111 is installed BUT:

$ emerge -p nvidia-glx

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild N ] media-video/nvidia-kernel-1.0.5336-r4
[ebuild UD] media-video/nvidia-glx-1.0.5336-r2 [1.0.6106-r3]

nvidia-glx-1.0.6106-r3 IS installed.

Thanks Jeff. I had added opengl-update, nvidia-kernel and nvidia-glx to
packages.keywords. Note the extra "s"

Old fingers and tired eyes.....
