xpdf binary isn't built
Hello.

I'm trying to emerge xpdf-3.00-r2. After configure ran, I get the
following warning:

configure: WARNING: Couldn't find X / Motif -- you will be able to compile
pdftops, pdftotext, pdfinfo, pdffonts, pdftoppm, and pdfimages,
but not xpdf

When I let xpdf be emerged, I don't have a xpdf binary. Just as the
message said. I tried to emerge xpdf with "USE=motif" and with
"USE=-motif". Doesn't change anything. I've got xorg-x11-6.8.0-r1
installed.

When I run "./configure" manually, I don't get the error message
but can't compile it:

SplashFTFont.cc:15:30: freetype/ftoutln.h: No such file or directory
SplashFTFont.cc:16:69: freetype/internal/ftobjs.h: No such file or directory

Hmm... When I run the complete configure command as visible during
the emerge, I get the warning message again. I ran:

./configure --prefix=/usr --host=i686-pc-linux-gnu --mandir=/usr/share/man --infodir=/usr/share/info --datadir=/usr/share --sysconfdir=/etc
--localstatedir=/var/lib --enable-freetype2 --with-freetype2-includes=/usr/include/freetype2

Hmm²... I get the message, as soon as I specify --with-freetype2-includes=/usr/include/freetype2

[19:59:11 alexander@server:~/tmp/xpdf-3.00] $ epm -qf /usr/include/freetype2
freetype-2.1.7

Hmm... Any ideas?

Yes, I do :) The path given to --with-freetype2-includes seems to be wrong.
When I set it to --with-freetype2-includes=/usr/include/freetype2/freetype,
I don't get the warning message - but I also cannot compile:

SplashFTFont.cc:15:30: freetype/ftoutln.h: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden
SplashFTFont.cc:16:69: freetype/internal/ftobjs.h: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden

*NARF* :)

Hi there!

Got the same problem. The solution for me was rather simple: I just
emerged openmotif.
