Just installed gentoo 2004.2 (newbie)
Since this is a laptop, I initially did a ln -s /etc/init.d/net.eth0
/etc/init.d/net.eth1
but turns out that since eth1 is pcmcia it really should start at boot
since it's supposed to be DHCP IP and it hangs the bootup.
I then removed net.eth1 and then this error came about.
Googling does not lead me anywhere.
