mozilla crashing with flash pages
Hi,

I use mozilla firefox (mozilla-firefox-bin-1.0_pre and
mozilla-firefox-0.8-r3) to browse the web. I always used the
netscape-flash package with mozilla for flash support and never had any
problems with it. However, recently every browser using the mozilla
rendering engine started crashing on *every* flash site. I've tried
plain mozilla (1.6-r1), mozilla-firefox and epiphany (1.2.6). I just
don't know what causes the problem. I tried unmerging and re-emerging
mozilla-firefox-bin and netscape-flash, with no success at all.

Does anyone have a clue?

Thanks in advance for any help,
David

Hi,

I reported similar problem a few days ago... Just out of curiosity,
does your mozilla crash even if you launch it directly from konsole?
Because in my case it doesnt, it only outputs strange warnings....
(see the old post)

I tried '/usr/lib/mozilla/mozilla-bin' on console. And it also crashed
on every flash site. After the crash I see the following error message.

The program 'Gecko' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
(Details: serial 91 error_code 8 request_code 146 minor_code 3)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
