xorg-6.8.0-r1 issues (keyboard LED weirdness and freezes)
Ever since I upgraded to xorg 6.8.0 (and -r1) from 6.7.0, I've been having some
issues. AFAIK, nothing else major changed at the same time (I've been running
2.6.5-gentoo-r? for a few months). My video cards are both ATI cards
(pre-Radeon) using xorg's builtin ati/r128 driver with DRI disables (Xinerama
and DRI don't work together). I'm using the kernel's VESA framebuffer running at
1024x768 for my console, if that makes a difference.

First, whenever I switch to a virtual console and then back, all of my keyboard
LEDs go off. Their state is still stored, because if Numlock was on before, I
can hit Capslock and they both will come on. It still acts as if Numlock is on
even though the light doesn't show.

Second, it has the tendency to "freeze" (X will eat 99% of CPU and I have no
keyboard or mouse input (no Ctrl-Alt-F? either), but I can still SSH in and kill
it off), usually while switching to or from a virtual console, although it has
happened a few times seemingly randomly. Sometimes, I get my virtual console
back after I kill off X via SSH and sometimes I have to restart the machine via
SSH because my console stays blank (and sometimes the X image stays locked on
the 2nd display).

I can't seem to find anything on bugs.gentoo.org about the freezing, although I
found a bug report about the keyboard LEDs (but no responses). Is anyone else
having these problems?
