I've found the '6111' nvidia drivers to work better with x.org and 2.6
kernels than the previous versions. You could try upgrading to the
newer version to see if that helps.

Another thing to try, that fixed some "random" crashes in ut for me was to add
Option "NvAGP" "1"
to the Device section of your xorg.conf, to tell the nvidia driver to
use an alternate method of acessing the agp hardware. Note that this
doesn't work (afaik) if you have agpgart compiled into your kernel or
loaded as a module.

I have the same problem on a friend's machine - UT2k4 crashes after about 30 seconds of play, hard-locking the machine. It uses the 6111 nvidia-kernel, 2.6.9-rc2 kernel, NvAGP, no agpgart, x.org 6.8.0-r1...
I'll try the 6111-r1 nvidia-kernel tonight and see if it makes a difference.

i tried the NvAGP and unloading agpgart and it works now!

This worked for me but i'm on the 5336 drivers. The game crashed after
about 20 minutes of play so I'm impressed. Think i should give 6111-r1 a
spin?
