samba 3.x
I've used kde 3.3's control panel to configure samba.
i've run the config then /etc/init.d/samba restart
windows xp can see my gentoo box in the network neighborhood but when i
click on it it says network path not found. I have setup the default
homes share and made it public and browseable.
i've also tried mapping a drive to \\teh\scorpaen (my home dir)
to no avail.
I've attached my smb.conf
any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Patrick

Make sure you have a line in your /etc/hosts file that references teh with the
correct IP address.

You could mount the drive with the IP too if you don't want hostnames... ;-)

Example: \\192.168.0.1\scorpaen
