Problems in evolution
Hi everyone:

I'm having two problems with evolution and, though they aren't big
problems, they're an annoyance for me. Firstly, I made a small script in
perl to create signatures for e-mails, but evolution seems to have
problems with it if the output is in unicode: if there are non-english
characters in the signature it is rejected and nothing is shown, if only
English characters are in the signature there's no problem.

On the other hand, I also have a problem with aspell. I installed
English and Spanish dictionary, but I can't select the Spanish one in
the menu, it isn't there. I know it's properly installed, because
Spanish dictionary is the default dictionary, and when I create a new
e-mail evolution underlines in red non-Spanish words.

Any idea? Thanks.

Any day now, the advice you're going to get is "upgrade to 2.0"

I suggest that if you're having any problems, you should probably do
just that. You'll never get any help about 1.4 from upstream.

You might try searching the evolution user mailing list archives. See
http://lists.ximian.com/archives/public/evolution/
or just google with site:lists.ximian.com in the search string.

Well, I would happily upgrade to 2.0, but evolution 2.0 and many of its
dependencies have been masked and, though I can unmask all them, I think
there should be another solution. I'll try in evolution's files, thanks.

Abraham.
