An OSX-like dock
Hi.

I've just managed, (finally... after the 6th installation attempt), to
install Gentoo on my laptop and I've emerged gnome. I've got some aqua
skins to make it all OSX'y and everything is looking seriously groovy...
except... no dock.. I've tried to emerge ksmoothdock and karamba but
they are designed for KDE and look a bit squiffy if I run them on Gnome...

Any ideas? Is there a Gnome Dock app that will do what I want?

Regards

Dave.

There is a Display for gdesklets that emulates the OSX launcher.
You'll need gnome-extra/gdesklets-core (which is ~x86 masked), and the
x11-plugins/desklet-starterbar desklet.

You can also use fvwm and create your own dock applet with some OSX
pixmaps (png/xpm/jpg/ico)
There are many examples on the gentoo screenshots thread, check it out.
