OT: mass-convert MS-DOS-WORD-5 Documents
Hi,

I have to convert a large number (thousands) of MS-Word 5.0 and 5.5
documents (yes, these were the versions that ran on MS-DOS) to a
MS-Word 97 compatible format. I know that this is possible with VBA,
but the only solution I could come up with requires user interaction
for every document that has a format-template.

Has anybody done something like that?
Is it possible to do that using linux, perhaps with openoffice?

Any help appreciated, even if involving comercial software.

Timo

Try out Document Converter for OpenOffice by Danny Brewer:

works perfectly for my needs, and it might do what you need to do.
