media-gfx/blender-2.37 available for testing on sparc
As a result of some (non-sparc) correspondence earlier this week, I
checked the build for blender-2.37, and determined that if blender and
yafray are given ~sparc keywords, then
ACCEPT_KEYWORDS='~sparc' emerge blender
does build blender without incident, and everything appears to run.

Consequently, I made blender (and its dependencies) available to ~sparc
with a rather strong warning in the ChangeLog regarding endian problems
I had once experienced with blender+sparc/linux (requiring fairly
tedious changes to correct).

Further testing suggests that this warning is now without merit, and
blender seems to run on sparc with no problems. Hence, this little
note.

If you have a lot of time on your hands and are interested in "an
integrated set of tools enabling the creation of a broad range of 3D
content....[a]imed at media professionals and artists....[;
incorporating] a real-time 3D engine allow[ing] the creation of 3D
interactive content for stand-alone playback," this might be the very
tool you have been waiting for all your life. (Blender User Guide,
December 7, 2004). (Television commercials were the target application,
I believe.)

Be aware that:
1. blender can be addictive;
2. blender is in the "gimp is for wimps" category.
