VNC server
Does anyone know of a good VNC server that has been ported over the
hppa architecture?

I looked and did not really see anything. I wanted TightVNC but it
doesn't look as though it has been ported over. My plan is to run the
J5600 that I have headless since my S3Virge card idea did not work, so
this system will not have a functioning X server installed.

Am I mistaken or is this not in portage?

realvnc has a pa-risc (hp-ux) port:
http://www.realvnc.com/download-free.html,
at the bottom select HP-UX11 and off you go.

Then I recall by head, the debian-pa-risc-linux comes with vnc. I bet this
one
fits better in gentoo, since it is linux too.

In the end, it must be fairly easy to get the vnc-linux-source and build it
yourself.

What is portage?

I find HP-UX binaries at
http://www.realvnc.com/dist/vnc-4.0-hpux.tar.gz
http://www.realvnc.com/dist/vnc-4.0-hpux.tar.Z

and sources at
http://www.realvnc.com/dist/vnc-4.0-unixsrc.tar.gz
http://www.realvnc.com/dist/vnc-4.0-unixsrc.tar.Z

The binaries do run on HP-UX 11.0 at our servers without any problem.
