uclibc on x86 stable
Hello!

devfsd, dialog and grub have to be ~x86, else they don't build on uclibc.

tar-1.14 moved to stable, but on uclibc it fails if used against a bzipped
archive (tar jtf ...)

could someone check why this happens?

dialog/grub build fine for me (x86 and ~x86 versions)

didnt test devfsd, but the latest ~x86 has been in ~ for a long time so i just
moved it to stable

dialog-0.9_beta20031002 (stable) fails w/ unknown arch
i386-pc-linux-uclibc (but configure does not bail out)

grub-0.94-r1 (stable) the same

both require at least gnuconfig_update

not all archives fail, I have to check which produce the error.

you probably dont have FEATURES=autoconfig ... which is probably why it works
for me (i do have autoconfig in my FEATURES) ...
i'll add an explicit call to gnuconfig_update ... but what profile are you
using ?

i have yet to see any error like this ... if you find a tarball though i can
look into it

I do not have it, I will add it (but probably portage won't support it, it
is from stable)

uclibc hardened (stackable)

Just a tip... portage itself has pretty bad handling for cascaded
profiles in .50 (embedded should not use this version of portage at all)
Please use ~arch portage.
