Security Documentation
Hello all,

Would anyone know where I can find documentation regarding security standards and best practices. I am looking for industry standards for ALL types of security. From Unix to MS and any/all applications in between. If anyone can help, please direct me to the right place.

Questions are welcome.

Thanks in advance for your time,

Moe

Bad form to send HTML email to a security list. Change that for starters. Security documentation is a tricky thing. For example I could send you to http://nsa2.www.conxion.com/ and you would learn a lot about how to secure a given system. But you would not learn why you should do these things and would not learn anything of the underlying philosophy. In many ways this book (http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/csb/) while old is worth the time to read because it does start you on the road to thinking about what security is. That and a lot of thought on the subject.

Please refrain from using html on the list. It is insecure and often results
in spam.

the security documentation info. I will review it shortly.
