Exim 4.05 make problems on Freebsd
Hi all,
I am upgrading to 4.05 well trying to when I do a make I get the
following errors any help is appreciated. I am running on FreeBSD i386

-MJ

[root@shell exim-4.05]# make
`Makefile' is up to date.

make[1]: Entering directory
`/usr/src/prodsource/exim-4.05/build-FreeBSD-i386'
Makefile:44: *** missing separator. Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory
`/usr/src/prodsource/exim-4.05/build-FreeBSD-i386'
make: *** [go] Error 2

Why don't you try the FreeBSD port for Exim, which takes care of build
and installation issues for you?

ports/mail/exim-devel

I have built it fine under freebsd. What 'make' are you using? You may also try using gmake.

I perfer to build it myself anyone have any other advice?

I used the stock berkeley make and it worked just fine. Try that and let me know if it fails or works.
