Dear all,

analyzing the problem we saw that there was a problem with a lock file
(/var/spool/exim/db/retry.lockfile).
While we were investigating it, we noticed that the problematic process was
locked with this file, we tried to execute a simple cat with this file, and
sudenly the process started to work and it finished.

Any idea?

Hanged process, as said, just logs messages.
These messages are related to a connection problem against LDAP, but we have
assured that LDAPs are always accesible (they are being checked periodically
and from the host ldapsearch always works fine)
