For the smtp transport, could the domainkeys signing process be done immediately before connecting to the remote server? Hotmail has a really low timeout on data blocks (15-30s) and it can take a while (50s) to sign a large (13MB) email.

This request is no longer needed since I've managed to speed up the signing process.
