[Bug 2950] incorrect detect ipv6 addresses
https://bugs.exim.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2950

--- Comment #1 from Jeremy Harris <jgh146exb@wizmail.org> ---
Please give the entire relevant section of debug output.
Also please note that redacting it likely means that we have to guess
what the actual content was.

Please describe further what you think is incorrect.

ok.. We have sequence of ip

RELAY_HOSTS = 91.x.y.0/22 : 91.c.v.0/23 : 91.d.f.0/23 : 10.0.0.0/8 :
[2001:67c:XXXX::]/48

why exim detect '[2001' as hostname, not as ipv6 range??

23253 sender host name required, to match against [2001 <===============

97272 no IP address found for host 67c <================

You still didn't say how you aare using that macro, but I assume it's
for a hostlist. The syntax for hostlist elements is given in

https://exim.org/exim-html-current/doc/html/spec_html/ch-domain_host_address_and_local_part_lists.html#SECThostlist

Note that there are no [] around an IPv6 address.
Also, be careful of the colons in one.
