CCM 3.3 & CDR Analysis and Reporting
Hi,

I have to questions about the CDR Analysis and Reporting on CCM.

First, I wonder if it's possible to configure the 'Call Type' fields on dial
plan configuration page in CAR? The choices are 'International', 'Local',
'Long Distance', 'On net' and 'Others'. I would like to add e.g 'Mobile' or
'Very Expensive'. :)

The second think that I wonder is if it's possible to configure the costs
for each of the Call types mentioned above? I have only found such a setting
for ToD.

CSCdu50004 ability to charge different rates for local/LD/intl calls

CAR is just a basic package, not really scalable. If you need more billing
features look to Mind CTI or ISI Infotel.

Or just do it yourself. The CDR db is very simple. We had one of our db guys make an Access interface that brakes all the extension down to department, multiple by cost and interface with our billing software in about 3 hours.

As usually Cisco will recommend the most expensive solutions. A trademark ;)

One may look at IPSoft billing package that has all the needed features and
has a special module for
extracting the CDR from CM. A lot of other non-expensive billing packages
exist that interact with CM.

Hi,

Well I think the CAR that ships with the CM, is quite good enough for most
companies and covers the need of seeing who has called where and for how
long. Furthermore, you see statistics about utilization of gateways and
quality. What I think the tool lacks the ability to configure certain
parameters to fit the organization and the location of the company. But as
Mr Scott Voll wrote, the CDR database is not that complex and I think that
one could implement this configurability with relativly small efforts.
