7970's
Is anyone having reboot and fail issues with the 7970's? They don't seem to
be very reliable. Are there tricks to keep it working? Should we even be
placing them in customer sites?

I had the same problem with my 7970s. After I applied Engineering Special 44, it solved my reboot problems. I've been told that the latest ES is now at 55.

I've got a couple of 7970's that I've had no issues with whatsoever, running
CCM 3.3.4, 6.0.1 load. Don't know what I'm doing right but I'm not in any
hurry to upgrade the load.

Have you tried to put the switch into the voice vlan only? I think if I
remember right, I had the same problem. The Phone and the switch
wouldn't talk nicely. Once I put the phone in the voice vlan, and it
upgraded the firmware I put it back into dynamic vlans and hasn't been a
problem since.

I'm also running CM 3.3(4) and firmware TERM70.6-0-1-0s

I forgot to mention that my previous reboot problems would happen on
phones with shared lines. I did not have any reboot problems with
phones with non-shared lines.
