What are you trying to do?

If you're looking for the corporate directory that is done via the Cisco
Customer Directory Configuration Plugin.

If you're trying to get contacts from outlook onto the phone you can
look at Cisco IP Phone Address Book Synchronizer plugin.

I think he wants dialing from Outlook. This is done via the Cisco TSP, downloaded from the CCM Plugins page. You will need a valid account/password in CCM that has your phone assigned. Outlook will then be able to pick your IP Phone lines as valid targets for dialing from contacts.

Hello,

I just configured my system to access contact in our oracle database.

For this I did a php script that output xml, then you just have to
specify the correct Services or Directory url to your phones.

I don't know if there are any way to access an exchange server from
php, but certainly one from asp, but as I don't know asp much, I can't
tell.

But you write a java application as well too.

If you want any example, I'll show you some.

Best thing to do is set up so that you can dial from outlook!!! Here are the steps to do so. You can also set up personal address book, but this is a big pain in the butt. The PAB only uses the WAB address book which is used with oe. You would have to export all of you outlook contacts into a .csv file, then import it into the wab. Set up outlook to dial it is a sweet feature. The only caveat is; when you upgrade callmanager and the tsp changes you need to change the tsp on all workstations, or you will get a flood of error messages on cm.

Hope this helps!!

Mike

Setting up Outlook to Dial IP Phones

1) Download AV Cisco tsp from Cisco website.

2) Install TSP on local workstation

3) After installation go to control panel open Phone and Modem options

4) Click on advanced tab

5) Double click on CiscoTSP

6) Click on the User tab (Put in your username and password, this must

match the username information that is entered callmanager for your

ccmuser account. If this does not match this will not work)

7) Click on CTI Manager tab and put in ip address of publisher in Primary

CTI Manager Location and the ip of subscriber in Backup CTI Manager

Location.

8) Apply settings and close out of control panel.

9) Open Outlook click on contacts

10) Choose a contact with whom you want to call. Click on dial from the

toolbar choose number (Business, home, mobile) Click on dial properties

and choose the Cisco line.

11) If you do not see Cisco line, try restarting outlook. You should be able to

scroll through the different types of lines.

12) Once you have chosen the Cisco line click ok.

13) Choose start call and you should be all set.
