3620 "invisible" typing
I have a 3620 with 12.1(5)T10 and sometimes i can't see what i'm typing while i'm logged
into a vty. This is a sample output while logging into and doing "who".

Are there any bug references?

This symptom - a vty that fails to echo - has cropped up
from time to time over the years.

CSCdj05366 (Integrated-in 11.0(4.2))
(I think some others ...)

but yours is:

CSCdz36877 no echo of characters on vty exec

fixed (once and for all, we hope) in 12.1(18.4) 12.2(15.1) 12.2(15)T.

Re: 3620 "invisible" typing [ In reply to ]
So this happens ever time you hit this particular vty? Might be CSCdz36877.
Release-note below.

Bryan

Under rare circumstances it may be possible that the exec session associated
with a virtual terminal can get into a state where characters entered by
the user will not be echoed back.

Using authentication on the line makes this less likely to occur,
but the problem may reappear after opening and closing a connection
to another host.

Authenticating again, using the login exec command, even if already
authenticated, or entering enable mode, will restore the echo
on the line.

I suppose this is my case, because after "entering enable mode" the echo is back ;-)
