Lucent XL connection
Hi,

We are using Cisco AS5300/AS5350 with 4E1/8E1 lines gateway and R2
digitall signaling used to connect with Alcatel E10/Siemens EWSD voice
switch/PBX.

And we are trying change configuration of Cisco AS5300/AS5350 using
ISDN PRI signaling with Lucent Excel switch.

We done configuration on Lucent Excel switch using incoming
"EuroISDN", outgoing "ISDN IE".

On Cisco side following:

!
controller E1 2
pri-group timeslots 1-31
description Connected to Excel switch span 9
!

!
interface Serial2:15
no ip address
isdn switch-type primary-net5
isdn incoming-voice modem
isdn send-alerting
isdn sending-complete
no cdp enable
!

E1 line never get up:

E1 2 is down.
Applique type is Channelized E1 - balanced
Description: Connected to Excel switch span 9
Receiver has remote alarm.
alarm-trigger is not set

Your E1 is down; the other side is sending an alarm.

Hi,

Thank you very much. Is there any low capacity solution to use Cisco
AS5300/AS5350 with C7 signaling?

I know Cisco has has solution for it (SC2200,PGW2200)and software price
too high for us.

Any suggestion?

Thank you,
Balgaa
