AS 5800 SS7/RLM Errors
I have an AS5800 running version 12.2(13)T5. We are using the SC2200 / SS7 solution and get many of the following error messages noted below. It seems to increase especially under heavier load. 95% of the error messages are the %ISDN-6-CHAN_UNAVAILABLE:

026220: Nov 27 20:01:28.215: %ISDN-4-RLM_STATUS_CHANGE:ISDN SC Se1/1/0:19:23 SC: Status Changed to: Link Recovered.

026221: Nov 27 20:09:15.869: %ISDN-6-CHAN_UNAVAILABLE: Interface Se1/1/0:19:23 SC Requested Channel 5 is not available

026222: Nov 27 20:15:11.650: %ISDN-4-RLM_STATUS_CHANGE: ISDN SC Se1/1/0:19:23 SC: Status Changed to: Link Recovered.

026223: Nov 27 20:31:36.761: %ISDN-4-RLM_STATUS_CHANGE: ISDN SC Se1/1/0:19:23 SC: Status Changed to: Link Recovered.

026224: Nov 27 20:37:48.839: %ISDN-6-CHAN_UNAVAILABLE: Interface Se1/1/0:19:23 SC Requested Channel 15 is not available

We've experienced this problem with multiple IOS versions on the 5800. It doesn't seem to be service impacting, but it does fill our logs up.

Any insight?

Thanks,

Dave

you might want to check your SC2200 configuration and verify if your
release-mode is set to "Sync"
rn7412.htm#xtocid2075171). Maybe there is also an inconsistency in the
channel state. This ISDN-6-CHAN_UNAVAILABLE happens if the AS5800 still
considers a channel as occupied while the SC2200 considers the CIC as
being available.
Which SC2200 version are you using?

Here you had a problem with the IP connectivity between the SC and the
AS5800 so RLM failed over to the other connection.

The ISDN-6-CHAN_UNAVAILABLE is service impacting, the call in question
received a fast-busy so the user had to re-connect.
