MPLS for Beginners (dummies)
Hi All,

For those who have deployed MPLS within your core network, would you
mind sharing some good books/guides/resources for deploying MPLS within
an ISP environment. I work for an ISP and we are looking more at
deploying MPLS Layer3 VPN's for business customers who have multiple
sites and want to establish VPN connections between these sites.

Thank you.

Andy

Hi Andy,

I've found the following to be a good introduction to all things MPLS:
"MPLS Fundamentals", Cisco Press

Richard Murray

Hi Andy,

I've used "MPLS-Enabled Applications: Emerging Developments and New
Technologies" - John Wiley

Cheers,

Shain

I've especially enjoyed Definitive MPLS Network Designs by Jim Guichard
<http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url?%5Fencoding=UTF8&search-type=ss&index=books&field-author=Jim%20Guichard>
et al. ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1587051869 ) It walks you thru
several network designs and points out any caveats (PE-CE routing
protocol foibles, etc.), as well as ways to optimize.
