High cpu -7200 vxr router --pppoe service
Hi
I use cisco 7200 vxr router for pppoe services. For the moment are about 800 sessions .For one user are 500 sessions of NAT.But the cpu is about 60% .Is it normal for this router ,this load of cpu ?

Ilir,

Can you provide some more info please?

What kind of NPE processor do you use?
What is the total bps/pps rate you are running at?

If you could share a "show run" maybe we could provide more feedback.

Ilir,

Looking at the stats, and mostly due to the fact that you have NAT enabled,
I would say this is what the box can handle.
I would try increasing your input queue on the GigE port, as I can see quite
a lot of drops there, which could be due to the NAT fixups.

Ilir,

Can you provide some more info please?

What kind of NPE processor do you use?
What is the total bps/pps rate you are running at?

If you could share a "show run" maybe we could provide more feedback.

Thanks
Arie
