Broken Pipe when posting and using digest authentication

Hi,

I am running in to an issue where I am attempting to post a ~160KB XML
file to a URL protected using a non-final rule and digest
authentication.

With this rule enabled, I receive URLError: <urlopen error [Errno 32]
Broken pipe> when trying to post.
With the rule disabled, the post works without issue.

I was just wondering if there is something I may have overlooked in
the configuration that someone can point me towards?

I should have mentioned that I am able to post a much smaller XML file
(~300 bytes) with this rule enabled without problem.

Is SSL enabled?
