"Published checked" button
In Bricolage 1.11.2 I noticed that the "Publish checked" button is gone
form the Publish desk. Was there a reason for removing this? I kinda
liked that feature where I could select a bunch of stories and then
click the button to publish them all.

I know internally (on the server) it does the same thing as publishing
them individually but from a User Experience point of view, it's easier
to publish multiple items this way.

I think the idea was that you now get a drop down menu that let's you
publish right there.

For our users, I'm not too concerned at the moment, but time will tell
when we do testing.

The idea was that you could double-click the publish button for each
and it would publish instantly. What we've lost, I now realize, is the
ability to select a bunch of stories and then *schedule* them all at
once. That's kind of annoying.

What about through the Find Stories interface?

This only presents you with the option to Checkout the stories if they
are pending(?) publishing.

That might still work, but we still have a feature that has been
removed from desks. I especially liked that I could "Check All" and
then schedule them all to publish at midnight.

Best,

You can republish from a search, but not publish, IIRC.

+1 ... I've experienced that users do this often, i.e., work on
several stories (for an issue of a magazine, let's say) and then want
to publish them all at once, at a certain date or time. Would be sad
to see that go.
