There are a few story attributes that are not versioned:
* primary_uri
* priority
* expire_date
The first doesn't much matter, because URIs are created upon publish from other data. But if you follow the steps in this ticket and change the primary URI of a story (by changing the cover date or slug or category), save, then revert, the primary URI for the story will not be reverted. Same for priority.
I'm not sure how t go about changing this, other than to move that data into story_instance (and do the same for unversioned media and template attributes, too). That would take quite a lot of work, including extensive upgrade scripts to move stuff around. I certainly wouldn't see releasing such a change before 2.2.
Since these functions have been like this since near the beginning, how important would such a change be to people, really?
