I want to have apache to be the reverse proxy on each firewall, if one of the
web servers goes down backhand should revert to the otherone anyway ?

don't think wackamole is what i need ?

Can you supply an ascii-art (or likewise descriptive) description of
what your setup is? I'm lost as to precisely what you want to do.
Basically, what are your differrent web-boxes, who needs to be failed
over for whom, etc.
