I saw this:

Do you have an idea what to do? Remove where possible? put PyXML into
Atrpms? or something third?

I can see Mythtv also needs PyXML.

PS: It seems people.atrpms.net cannot see both Paolu and my uploads. I
can understand that it cannot see mine, because I probable have the
wrong ownership and/or permissions on the public_html dir. but Paulos?

Kim

I think we should put it into ATrpms.

Paulos are OK, yours were missing the other execute bit on the home
dir. I fixed that and yours are visible as well now.

I'm on F19 with updates-testing enabled and are getting these:

Are you sure about PyXML??

That is definietely a drastic measure. This means we can only drop
anything that requires PyXML to run. e.g. ship mythtv w/ broken
unregistered depednencies. :/

Does mythtv really need PyXML?

I looked at mythtv's bugtracker for pyxml and only foud this closed bug:
http://code.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/6317

My limited understanding was that PyXML provided the same interface as
std. Python, but perhaps it does have extra methods :-/

Kim

I just looked in the package from rpmfusion and they have no PyXML
package, nor a dependency to one. But they have a dependency on
python-lxml - perhaps that is useful??

Here are the python dependecies:

Re: PyXML- was Re: gstreamer-plugins-ugly for f19 [ In reply to ]
Hi,

I dropped the dependencies - they were for jamu which isn't used since
0.25. lxml was always a depedency.

Thanks for the investigation! :)

P.S. I also updated all mythtv bits that have newer fixes.
