Intel Catalog is Bogus!
Hey Randy, have you tried entering the Apache info into the
Intel Catalog of Web products? If you haven't, don't bother.
They have been bugging the W3C for weeks, and after we finally
filled-out all the forms, the final form consists of a legal
agreement by which we, by submitting the form, are agreeing to
sell or promote Intel products on our website.

Screw that! They actually try to stick a legal agreement in
with this bogus "service to the community". Slimey as hell.

I have submitted it. We can back out of it with 30 days notice.

I read the legal agreement to mean that we could put their little
icon in some lower level page saying "Apache featured here".

Makes no difference to me either way. I'll mail the legal agreement
to those who are interested, or the list if warranted.

Uh-oh.... this is a famously litigous corporation we're dealing with
here. If there's any doubt at all about whether we're obligated to
do something, or what, then backing out might be a useful option...

I'll forward written termination now. Should I have it notorized?

:-)

Only if we get to apply the stamp to the Intel person's forehead. ;-)

I'm not all that concerned about it -- just wanted to save you the
time if you hadn't already spent it. Naturally, the political
repercussions of W3C agreeing to those conditions are a quite a
bit worse than they would be for us.

Can we back out of this please? I'm not doing this to advertise intel
and I don't want to be associated with that company on even an informal basis.

+1 we don't put Apache on the intel catalog.

Ay (read the fine print)
