Unfortunetly, in my attempt to crawl last week, I had some fun. Something
about a drive filling up and my crawler hitting the same sight 500 times
in 2 minutes (to things explicitly disallowed in robots.txt, of all things)
I'm still trying to fix everything wrong that showed up in that failure.

If it's usable and stable by then, why not.

Ok, it's easy. But... we're still talking about a beta here. Anyone
using late 1.3 early 1.4 NCSA gear is expecting the software to be stable
in terms of releases to follow. We don't want to have to mail them all
again when the thing mutates 2 weeks from now ;)

I think it's best to be out of the beta-test fog before people start junk
mailing somewhere.com.

People running Apache x.x.x are a different matter. They'd seem to
be up for just about anything, and might even welcome being kept aware
of new releases and other snippets of info. Do we have a new-httpd-announce
list yet that they can subscribe to? [no, I NEVER read the documentation]
