Cannot start - nothing from cmd prompt - just error log

Running windows XP with all hotfixes and the .NET SDK (not sure if this helps).
Intel Celeron 445 box, aopen board.
Just did a straight install - everything - apache does not run.
I have a firewall installed (high speed connection) - but I did disable the
firewall and even tried making a rule for the IP/port but nothing to get it to
work!
