-21474836.-48% in %bytes field
Hello!

We are seeing the figure -21474836.-48 appearing in the %bytes field in
our analog reports (see below for examples). We have 2 websites which we
run analog reports on and it seems to randomly occur in the reports for
both of them. The problem has only start happening in the last few
months, the reports had been working fine for a number of years
previously.

Any help gratefully accepted!

I have no idea, but in this case, I'd certainly try to pull these 178 lines into a seperate logfile, and see if what Analog has to say when it's just analyzing those lines.

That is very curious. It's obviously a bug, but I can't see how it can
have happened. Is your logfile small enough to email to me
(privately)?

RE: -21474836.-48% in %bytes field [ In reply to ]
Hi Stephen

I managed to identify an offending logfile and can consistently
reproduce the error on our reports server. However I then tried running
the same report on my local PC and it worked fine (no -21474836.-48%
figures coming out). The only change to our report server was the
installation of .NET 3.5 a few months back. The reports server is Win
2003 versus Win XP on my desktop (which also has .NET 3.5). I will see
about removing .NET 3.5 from the reports server and see if this helps.

Thanks

It might be easier to install a clean copy of Analog in a different directory on the server, and see if that works - it won't even require a reboot of the server :-).

Analog is not built on the .NET Framework so this should have no bearing on what Analog does. (Unless you installed the SDK with dev/debug tools which I assume you wouldn't do on a server.)

I got strange results (big values, sometimes negative) using Analog
compiled under gcc 3, gcc 2.95 solved my problems.
